Cara Cosgrove
DVM
Dr. Cara Cosgrove joined Town and Country Veterinary Hospital in 2021. She is originally from St. Louis and grew up in Chesterfield. After graduating from University of Missouri, she went on to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical training at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine before graduating in 2013. Prior to joining the team, she worked both as an emergency veterinarian at a specialty hospital and in general practice in the St. Louis area.
Dr. Cosgrove realized from a young age that her calling was to become a veterinarian and she has worked in veterinary hospitals since high school. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, and the St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association. She is a Certified Fear Free Practitioner and was a finalist for best veterinarian in the 2020 St. Louis Magazine A-List Awards. Her professional areas of interest include client education, ultrasonography, pain management and emergency medicine. As a veterinarian, her goal is to ensure your pets live long and healthy lives, and to provide lifelong compassionate care for them.
Outside of the profession, Dr. Cosgrove shares her life with her husband Pete and her two young children. She enjoys spending time outdoors, running, brunching, traveling, and cheering for St. Louis sports teams and the Missouri Tigers!
Kelley Molitor
DVM
Dr. Kelley Molitor is passionate about the art and science of veterinary medicine and the human-animal bond. Her goal is to provide the highest level of veterinary care in a compassionate and gentle manner. Dr. Molitor has been providing health care to St. Louis area pets since 2008 and joined Town & Country Veterinary Hospital in early 2014.
Dr. Molitor’s focus is on feline and canine preventive care. Her other professional areas of interest include dentistry, internal medicine, pain management, geriatric medicine, and behavioral health.
When she was just 8 years old, Dr. Molitor knew she wanted to become a veterinarian, and she has remained committed to her love of animals ever since. Dr. Molitor completed her undergraduate studies in Animal Science as a Pre-Veterinary Medicine Scholar at the University of Missouri-Columbia where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.
Dr. Molitor enjoys involvement in organized veterinary medicine as an active member of the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners and the Greater St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association. Additionally, she regularly attends continuing education seminars and enjoys learning and maintaining the most current veterinary medical knowledge.
Dr. Molitor resides in West County with her husband, Adam, two cats, Joey and Benny, and two Westies, Bailey and Gus. When she is not at the hospital, Dr. Molitor enjoys cycling with her husband, exploring snorkeling destinations, and sharing home-cooked meals with her extended family. She also finds time to volunteer with various organizations in our community.
Dave Nichols
DVM
Dr. Dave Nichols is originally from the St. Louis area and received his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He went on and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. Matthew’s University and completed his clinical rotation at North Carolina State University. During his time at St. Matthew’s, he volunteered with the Grand Cayman Department of Environment in researching and releasing green sea turtles.
He moved back home to St. Louis in 2011. Prior to joining the Town and Country family, he practiced emergency medicine at a specialty hospital with over 10 years of experience. His goals are to provide the highest standard of care and foster healthy choices for his patient’s needs.
He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. His professional areas of interest include surgery, internal medicine, ultrasonography, and emergency medicine.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Nichols enjoys scuba diving, nature and wildlife photography, backpacking through national parks, and spending time at home with his wife Julie, two young children, and dog Cookie Jar.
Courtney Gilmore
DVM
Dr. Courtney Gilmore is a born-and-raised St. Louisan who joined Town and Country Veterinary Hospital after graduating from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2024. Prior to veterinary school, she attended Truman State University, where she earned a BA in Biology in 2016, and the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she earned a BS in Animal Science with a minor in Captive Wild Animal Management in 2020.
Her professional interests include surgery, companion animal medicine, geriatric care, exotic animal medicine, and preventative medicine. Dr. Gilmore is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, and the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians.
Dr. Gilmore was recently married in May 2023 to her husband David, and together, they have two dogs (Kya and Marvel) and two ball pythons (Tiki and Sweetheart). Outside of the clinic, you might find them riding their bikes on the Katy Trail or enjoying a day at the St. Louis Zoo. Dr. Gilmore and her husband are also avid Chiefs fans and love to spend Sunday afternoons cheering them on from their home in St. Peters. Other hobbies of Dr. Gilmore include reading, running, and trying new recipes.
